Across race, ethnicity, and socioeconomic status, the college aspirations of America's high school students continue to rise. Yet, in spite of their high aspirations, many students of color and many students from low socioeconomic backgrounds are underrepresented in the nation's postsecondary educational institutions. The under representation of these students in higher education may be related to the paucity or absence of guidance they receive regarding postsecondary planning. Based on survey results from one large, urban school district, this investigation sought to determine the role school size played in high school seniors' perceptions about their access to school-based college planning information.
