Undergraduate students (N=130) rated Carl Rogers via visual, lexical, vocal, or vocal-lexical communication channels. Lexical cues were more important in creating favorable impressions among females. Empathic responses of 27 graduate and undergraduate counseling students with high and low moral development were compared.
