Goals and priorities of the University of Nevada System for 1987-1991 are presented, with attention to growth projections, campus academic and budget priorities, capital construction needs, economic development, strengthening higher education in the state, and data collection. In addition to the System's goals, academic priorities are described for the two universities, the four community colleges, and the Desert Research Institute. The System's 1987-1991 biennial budget request and budget priorities for the community colleges, universities, and Desert Research Institute are also considered. Ways to strengthen higher education are covered, including: university entrance standards, the Regents' Scholar Program, tuition reciprocal agreements, program review, developmental education, academic computing and new technology, and improved information for planning.
