Describes a graduate course that is a colloquium for discussion of issues, such as literary theory and approaching the job market, common to graduate students in German. Colloquium participants can form strong intellectual communities while learning about how to present their intellectual and pedagogical accomplishments to peers and future employers in the vita, job interview, conference papers, and publications.
