ICT that Works
Ball, Stuart
Primary Science Review, n76 p11-13 Jan-Feb 2003
Good primary science is about children being engaged in questioning, exploring and interpreting--and enjoying the experience. Good ICT is where appropriate software, hardware and activities complement and support science activities. It is all too easy to see only the whizzes and bangs of the latest technology and forget about the learning objectives for science. ICT can be used by teachers to help them deliver the curriculum and by children to enhance their own learning. In this article, the author shares his experience of how ICT can be used to deliver successful, quality science across the primary phase. (Contains 7 online resources.)
