Investigating Potential Benefits of Business School Internship Experiences
Mischia Alexander Taylor
ProQuest LLC, D.B.A. Dissertation, Saint Leo University
Over the course of several years, universities have noticed a trend that is affecting enrollment at their institution. Students want to make sure that wherever they chose to go to college they will have the best possible outcomes upon graduation. To ensure that students are well prepared, some universities have established professional readiness components that require students to complete a professional component such as an internship in order to graduate. The purpose of the requirement is to ensure the student is equipped with all of the necessary tools to find the job they seek. This is a relatively new requirement for many institutions. The purpose of this research is to identify if internships are the best opportunity for students to ensure they will have the best outcomes and/or job opportunities upon graduation.
