The Validity of Administrator Performance Assessment Systems: The ADI As a Case-in-Point.
Sirotnik, Kenneth A.; Durden, Phyllis C.
Educational Administration Quarterly, v32 n4 p539-64 Oct 1996
The construct and predictive validities of many administrator performance-assessment systems used for diagnosis, certification, and selection are questionable. The present study investigated both types of validity for one system, the Administrator Diagnostic Inventory (ADI). Results from assessing 316 individuals suggest that caution and considerable research should accompany use of performance-assessment systems. (45 references) (MLH)
