Data analysis found that having a mentorship relationship for Black males at historically White higher education institutions had a significantly different level of resiliency and sense of belonging. Previous research has focused on qualitative data aligned with this quantitative study's results. This study utilized a quantitative methodology to determine the level and direction of the relationship between male Black college students' participation in a mentoring relationship while attending predominantly White institutions and their resiliency and sense of belonging. There were 5, 282 participants in the original data set from the institution. Those who identified as Black or African American comprised only 6.4% (337) of overall participants. The final sample size for this study consisted of 103 participants who met the requirements of 1) identifying as male, 2) identifying as Black or African American, and 3) enrolled as full-time students. Results from this study indicate that a mentorship relationship with an academic or student affairs personnel significantly impacts Black males' resiliency and sense of belonging.
