Correlations between Extended Personal Attributes Questionnaire scales and measures of worry, depression and anger confirmed previous results with unselected students. The effects of full-credit semester and all-year timetables on science attitudes and science achievement of grade 10 students was investigated. Findings indicated that students in all-year courses consistently outperformed students in semester courses in the cognitive domain, but there were no differences in the affective domain. (CW)

Used computerized diaries to investigate relations between momentary and generalized affect reports. Thirty participants rated current mood at two-hour intervals and gave retrospective reports of daily and weekly mood. Average momentary ratings provided a closer estimate of daily mood than either peak or most recent momentary ratings. (RJM)

Studied age differences in children's understanding of (1) changes in emotional reactions to situations; and (2) the possibility that emotion might be controlled by situational or cognitive strategies.
