Completion Rates of Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) Courses: A Research Study.
Cloonan, Martin; Canning, Roy
Scottish Educational Review, v32 n1 p55-67 May 2000
Case studies provide an overview of the provision of postcompulsory vocational training leading to Scottish Vocational Qualifications (SVQs). Highly diverse SVQs are offered through further-education colleges, private training organizations, public and private sector employers, and the voluntary sector. Providers had only a notional sense of completion rates and did not record student reasons for withdrawal. (Contains 32 references.) (SV)
