Maintain School Discipline. Module LT-C-3 of Category C--Student Services. Competency-Based Vocational Education Administrator Module Series.
Harrington, Lois G.; And Others
This module, one in a series of competency-based administrator instructional packages, focuses on a specific competency that vocational education administrators need to be successful in the area of student services. The purpose of the module is to help the administrator develop skill in creating a climate conducive to discipline and in instituting and implementing the policies, procedures, and guidelines to establish and maintain discipline, primarily in a secondary setting. An introduction provides terminal and enabling objectives, a list of resources needed, and a glossary of selected terms. The main portion of the module includes three sequential learning experiences. Overviews, which precede each learning experience, contain the objective for each experience and a brief description of what the learning experience involves. Each learning experience consists of a number of activities that may include information sheets, case studies, samples, checklists, and self-checks. Optional activities are provided. The final learning experience also provides an assessment form for administrator performance evaluation by a resource person. (YLB)
