The Implications of the Norms of Undergraduate College Students for Faculty Enactment of Principles of Good Practice in Undergraduate Education.
Caboni, Timothy C.; Mundy, Meaghan E.; Duesterhaus, Molly Black
Peabody Journal of Education, v77 n3 p125-37 2002
Examined the student normative support for Chickering and Gamson's (1987) seven principles of good undergraduate education. Findings from surveys of undergraduate college students indicated that there was empirical evidence of student support for three of the seven principles: faculty-student contact, cooperation among students, and high expectations. This support was differentiated by student race and social fraternity membership. (SM)
