Tansy, Michael
Journal of Psychoeducational Assessment, v27 n1 p68-78 2009
The Emotional Disturbance Decision Tree (EDDT) is a teacher-completed norm-referenced rating scale published by Psychological Assessment Resources, Inc., in Lutz, Florida. The 156-item EDDT was developed for use as part of a broader assessment process to screen and assist in the identification of 5- to 18-year-old children for the special education category of emotional disturbance (ED). The EDDT was developed to assist educators assessing ED through a decision-tree process, resulting in a determination of its presence or absence. This article provides the overall strengths and limitations of the EDDT.
