Contained in this teacher's guide are the materials necessary to teach seven instructional units related to keeping farm business records and preparing financial statements. The following instructional units are presented: (1) orientation; (2) inventories; (3) journal entry; (4) enterprise accounting and supplemental records; (5) cash flow management; (6) net worth statement; and (7) income statements. A short chapter that explains how the document should be used precedes the instructional materials. Instructional materials for each unit include some or all of the following elements: (1) performance objectives; (2) suggested activities; (3) "must know" content essential for meeting the cognitive objectives of the unit; (4) student handouts; (5) transparency masters; (6) student assignment sheets; (7) tests; and (8) answers to tests and assignment sheets.
