Niche Marketing: Branding Your Early Child Care and Education Business without Getting Burned

Branding in the early child care and education marketplace is very similar to branding on the farm. It refers to the specific image the company develops and promotes to make services unique, recognizable, and memorable in the minds of prospects and customers. This article discusses how to establish a niche in a business, develop a brand, and market unique image of early care and education business. It also presents some steps on how to create a business image. These include: (1) determining products and services; (2) determining the business' uniqueness; and (3) creating a business' tagline--a short phrase, image message or motto that conveys company's niche clearly and precisely. Without a unique niche or brand in the early care and education business, prospects may tend to view the company as just another center in the growing child care industry.
