Student Perceptions of Campus Cultural Climate by Race.
Ancis, Julie R.; Sedlacek, William E.; Mohr, Jonathan J.
Journal of Counseling & Development, v78 n2 p180-85 Spr 2000
Reports on questionnaire about perceptions and experiences distributed to African American, Asian American, Latino/a, and White undergraduates. African Americans reported more racial-ethnic conflict on campus, more pressure to conform to stereotypes, and less equitable treatment by faculty and teaching assistants. White students' responses reflected limited perceptions of racial-ethnic tensions, and a university climate characterized by respect for diversity. (Author/JDM)
