Wellness and Coping Activities of African American Counselors.
Evans, Kathy M.
Journal of Black Psychology, v23 n1 p24-35 Feb 1997
Examined physical, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual wellness activities of African American mental health counselors and behaviors they used to cope with racism. Counselors used a wide variety of wellness strategies, although counselors in school settings were less likely to engage in occupational wellness activities. Confrontation was the most common approach to racism. (SLD)
