Developing an Integrative Play Therapy Group Model for Middle School Male Students to Address Bullying Behaviors
Jordan, Jakarla
ProQuest LLC, D.P.C. Dissertation, Mississippi College
This research examines the systematic process of developing an integrative play therapy group model for middle school male students, ages 11-15 who participate in bullying behaviors. Play therapy approaches and evidence-based practices are documented as effective measures for addressing bullying behaviors with children and adolescents. This group model consists of techniques from applicable play therapy approaches that are paired with techniques from an evidence-based practice, Aggression Replacement Training (ART). The overall goal of developing an integrative play therapy group model is to equip middle school male students with skills needed to reduce to negative developmental outcomes later in life.
