Student's Rationale for Selection of Agriculturally Related Courses in High School by Gender and Ethnicity.
Sutphin, H. Dean; Newsom-Stewart, Mhora
Journal of Agricultural Education, v36 n2 p54-62 1995
New York 10th graders (n=925) indicated their reasons for enrolling in agricultural education were related to preparation for jobs and higher education, skill development, academic enhancement, response to social pressures, or participation in activity-centered learning. Few gender or ethnic differences appeared, although males responded more to social pressures. (SK)
