Wills, Gordon
Internet Research, v6 n4 p77-90 1996
Electronic publishing is the grandest revolution in the capture and dissemination of academic and professional knowledge since Caxton developed the printing press. This article examines electronic publishing, describes different electronic publishing scenarios (authors' cooperative, consolidator/retailer/agent oligopsony, publisher oligopoly), and presents a case study of MCB University Press's transition to electronic publishing.
