State and National Accreditation of One University Program: A Case Study
Martindale, Maura; Bartell, Carol A.
Volta Review, v110 n2 p249-260 Sum 2010
Programs preparing teachers of the deaf and hard of hearing are typically housed in schools of education and are subject to university requirements as well as state and national accreditation requirements. This article describes how one program to prepare teachers of the deaf, founded in 2007, navigated those requirements and became part of a successful joint accreditation visit. This manuscript focuses particularly on the use of a web-based approach to documentation that was well received by both state and national reviewers. (Contains 3 tables.)
