Designed to assist libraries and other agencies in their efforts to provide current referral services to local groups and agencies serving minority populations, this directory reflects the diverse nature of Orange County's population and identifies resources to help support their basic needs. Limited to the four largest minority groups (Asian Americans, Blacks, Hispanics and Native Americans), the directory includes 102 respondents to a questionaire mailed to over 190 groups identified as serving the needs of Orange County (California). National and regional groups located within the County lines and serving the cultural, educational, social, political, and economic needs of discrete minority communities, are included. Profit-seeking, commerical ventures have been excluded. Agency/organization information includes: name, address, telephone, contact person, description, county areas served, numbers served/number of members, fees for services/membership dues, languages available, year founded, funding source, chief officer and title, and publications available. Indexes include alaphabetical listings of contact persons, languages available other than English, services type, and organizations not responding.
