Ekine, Adefunke; Olaniyan, Adegoke Oladipo
Childhood Education, v95 n1 p73-78 2019
Progress toward the Education Sustainable Development Goal 4 and achievement of the UN 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda, requires partnerships, collaboration, and cooperative action at international, national, and local levels, which can be achieved and sustained using the innovative Education Diplomacy approach. The authors of this article reflect on Education Diplomacy as an innovative leadership program and describe how they employed diplomacy skills and knowledge during several stages of promoting early childhood development in the local communities of Nigeria. Education policy formulation and implementation in Nigeria will continue to advance if both state and non-state stakeholders effectively collaborate through Education Diplomacy.
