A series of tables with information on full- and part-time enrollment in Canadian universities during the 1977-78 academic year is presented in this report. Information is also provided concerning degrees, diplomas, and certificates granted at the institutions in 1977. Data were collected from two surveys of all the degree-granting institutions in Canada and are separated into two parts. Series A presents information on 1977-78 enrollments by province, registration status, institution, level (bachelor, masters, doctoral), program of study, age, and marital status. Summer 1977 enrollment figures are also included. Series B tables contain data on degrees, diplomas, and certificates awarded in 1977 by province, institution, level, sex, specialization, and field of study. The total enrollment figure for Fall 1977 (580,232) shows a 1.9 percent increase from 1976. An increase in part-time students is also noted. The number of women students increased by .8 percent since 1976. Enrollment variations in program of study, degree level, citizenship of students, and distribution by sex and specialization are also discussed. (SF)
