This report highlights some of the programs that have been begun by and for Hispanic Americans, particularly in the field of higher education. Of particular interest are the cooperative efforts between the United States and Mexico in developing programs for the Latino population. Some of the programs include: the Julian Samora Research Institute; the Mexico-United States Consortium for Academic Cooperation; programs started by the University of Arizona; the University of Texas, El Paso; the California State University System; the North American Regional Academic Mobility Program; the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education; the Mexican Association for International Education; the North American Forum; and the Mexican American Partnership.
