This seventh publication in the Eurydice European Unit series of thematic bibliographies draws attention to a selection of publications on the topic of lifelong learning. This annotated bibliography lists 268 books, articles, publications, and reports that have appeared since 1994. Some earlier items of published literature of special historical interest in relation to development of the concept of lifelong learning, or regarded as significant reference sources, are also included. Websites are also provided. All titles and Internet websites are classified in these categories: European Union; Council of Europe; OECD; UNESCO; Other Publications and Analyses; and Official Documents Published by National Authorities. Within each category, the literature is presented chronologically by year of publication and by alphabetical order of title within each year. Literature published by national authorities is listed first in the language in which it originally appeared. Titles of items not available in English have been given an unofficial translation. In such cases, the note "Translation of title" is added. Each item contains some or all of this information: title; place of publication; publisher; date of publication; pagination; note(s), e.g. languages available, Internet address, annexes, bibliography; ISBN; summary; and descriptors.
