The article traces the history of PRIME--A Process for Remediating Identified Marginal Education Candidates since 1996. The philosophy has not changed from its inception. Procedure identifies individuals who may be at risk for successful completion of their programs or who possess those traits associated with rapid attrition in the teaching profession. The model provides a support system to assist them in decision making and in making the transition from the university to the world of work.
