Science Night--everybody wants one, but how does a teacher make it happen? To promote connections between schools, families, and communities, the authors organized a unique learning opportunity by combining three community partners' efforts and strengths. The school's Parent Teacher Association (PTA) coordinated and sponsored a science night for students and their families. The local astronomy club provided a planetarium and telescopes for sky stargazing, and university methods students presented science activity centers. In this article, the authors describe science night and offer some suggestions to help teachers replicate a similar event in their community. (Contains 1 figure.)
