In this article, the author reviews Christopher Branson's book entitled "Leading Educational Change Wisely". The book provides an alternative and engaging perspective on leading educational change. Branson utilises "wisdom" as its central conceptual device to present a thought-provoking and philosophical account on how leaders are able to build a "professional culture that is able to embrace change". The overarching aim of the book is to put forward clear guidance rather than formulaic solutions; as such, ideas are introduced and developed steadily and sequentially through the course of the seven interconnected chapters. Throughout, the book deals with a complex set of strands which relate to and culminate in a fuller understanding of wise educational leadership.
