"Integrity" is a term that is intuitively appealing, but hard to define and implement. This chapter discusses those conceptual complexities as well as an ideal portrait of organizations with integrity, a description of the challenges to the integrity of organizations, a discussion of the enhancement of integrity through compliance programs and changes in the culture, and the implications for the preparation of graduate students. The author suggests that student affairs administrators need to create an environment that protects student welfare, and they need to develop the skills to deal with external and internal challenges to the integrity of higher education.
