Learning Science at Internet Cafes: Reflections on a Bulgarian Experience
Dunne, Mick; Smith, Malcolm
Primary Science Review, n85 p24-26 Nov-Dec 2004
In-service education using information and communication technology (ICT) to teach science is particularly demanding when working in under-resourced locations or where resources are in heavy demand. This article is based on Inset carried out by the authors working with teachers and a university lecturer in a Bulgarian Internet cafe. The use of such novel learning environments, and the selection and delivery of teaching materials, are discussed in the light of the Bulgarian teachers' evaluations. (Contains 1 online resource.)
