School Science Prep Room Designs Fail to Deliver--A Special Report

A special report has been published aimed at reducing the number of poorly designed and equipped prep rooms specified by architects who have little or no experience in what is a very specialised area. Produced by school science equipment manufacturer, Gratnells, this report is the first step of its new "Architect Connection" initiative, a programme of reports, seminars and teaching materials focused on helping architects involved in either refurbishment or new builds of school science areas within the Building Schools for the Future programme to improve their prep room design capabilities. This article is a summary of the report.
