This article describes the projects on solar hydrogen powered vehicles using water as fuel conducted by teams at Brooklyn Technical High School. Their investigations into the pure and applied chemical thermodynamics of hydrogen fuel cells and bio-inspired devices have been consolidated in a new and emerging sub-discipline that they define as solar hydrogen electric bio-mimetic energetics. They have designed and are developing the following autonomous or remote-controlled/bio-inspired devices: (1) Remote Controlled Hovercraft; (2) Air Sampling Craft; (3) Tranquilizing Dart Projector; (4) Autonomous Buoyant Micro-power Plant; (5) Remote Controlled Electric Water Sampling Boat; and (6) Inflatable Electric Kite. A short description of each device is given.
