Team-Teaching: Communication Is the Key when Integrating Graduate Coursework
Hochradel, Rebecca; Long, Jamye; Johnson, Cooper
Business Communication Quarterly, v73 n2 p196-200 2010
In 2008, Delta State University began offering an integrated Master's of Business Administration (iMBA) degree. The program's design allows students to complete degree requirements within three semesters using an online, integrated format. The program consists of three 10-hour modules, one offered in each semester: spring, summer, and fall. The format of the program requires all students to be enrolled full-time. This requirement benefits students in forming teams that many times carry over from one semester to another, fostering a sense of continuity and belonging. This article explains lessons learned in conducting an integrated module that incorporates four courses with four different instructors.
