Preparing the Underprepared: An Analysis of Racial Disparities in Postsecondary Mathematics Remediation

In this study, I examine racial disparities in successful remediation in math. I first quantify a previously unidentified racial gap in successful remediation and then seek to explain this gap through a set of mediating and moderating variables. In addition, I test the relative efficacy of remediation across racial groups. (Contains 6 tables and 5 notes.)
