The Impact of Acculturation on Hispanic Students' Learning Styles
Gonyea, Nathan E.
Journal of Hispanic Higher Education, v9 n1 p73-81 2010
The present study investigated the impact of acculturation on the learning styles of 151 Hispanic students enrolled in a Hispanic Serving Institution in South Texas, controlling for age, gender, and country of origin. Acculturation did not significantly predict learning style when controlling for these three variables. These results may be because of a lack of association between acculturation and learning style or differential acculturation in the sociopersonal and educational realms. (Contains 2 tables.)
