Oh No, I Lost All of My Work!
Zimerman, Martin
Computers in Libraries, v29 n8 p36-40 Sep 2009
Having been in the computer industry for many years, the author is reminded of one of the earliest tenets of word processing: Saving one's work, and save it often. It's encouraging to see that people trust computers not to lose their work. Unfortunately, due to budget cuts, aging computer hardware, a possibly questionable electrical supply, and sometimes erroneous keystrokes, things will happen that endanger one's work on computers. In this article, the author discusses how to provide a comfortable student computing experience and a safe computing environment. The author provides a solution for lost work on computers by using a combination of file locations and recover functions.
