This paper presents some reflections about pedagogical and conceptual approaches to intercultural education (in middle high and high schools) in Mexico. The propositions under discussion are expressions of an emerging educational discourse between the highest levels of government and the self-management initiatives of the indigenous pueblos and communities of Oaxaca.
