Has the AAMC Lost Its Focus?
Robinson, John A.
Academic Questions, v15 n2 p24-31 Mar 2002
It seems that the Association of American Medical Colleges has bought, at least partly, into the fads that undermine education at lower levels. This is a problem for Dr. Robinson, who writes that the training needed to focus a multitude of modern technological resources on the diagnosis and treatment of individual patients is an intense process that does not allow for gender and class issues, spirituality, the construction of race, or any other diversions from a doctor's true objective.
