Internationalizing Curriculum: A New Kind of Education?

In this article, the author examines some of the shifts that are informing faculty's understanding of what "internationalizing curriculum" might mean for the small undergraduate liberal arts college at which she teaches in London, Ontario. The author starts by describing an initiative that was developed to allow students studying a profoundly "international" curriculum to learn outside the classroom, locally. She then attempts to explain how internationalizing the curriculum is viewed generally in higher education in Canada today. Finally, the author demonstrates how important it is for the discussion on internationalizing curriculum to become more connected to pedagogical debates. (Contains 1 table.)
