Media coverage of the institution of gambling, particularly casino gaming, has been occurring since the mid-1980s and, depending upon your geographic region, certain Indian tribes have been linked with its monetary success. Educational materials, namely textbooks, have been caught up in this current trend, and the result is that a new stereotype is possibly being realized. (Contains 1 figure.)
