ACTE Convention and Career-Tech Expo: Racing toward Charlotte
Tech Directions, v68 n4 p24-25 Nov 2008
This article reports on Association for Career and Technical Education's (ACTE's) annual convention to be held this year in Charlotte, North Carolina, from December 4-6. To provide the greatest benefits to attending educators, ACTE will again partner with several other associations at this year's convention. ACTE has lined up three speakers for the convention's general sessions: best-selling author Daniel Pink; historian, economist, and demographer Neil Howe; and International Center for Leadership in Education president Willard Daggett. ACTE division leaders have scheduled high-quality programs addressing key areas and concerns for CTE educators. One of the most popular features of the annual convention is the Career Tech Expo--a marketplace of technology, media, and tools for all areas of career and technical education. Attendees will have a chance to try out new software, browse the latest publications, and learn about a variety of equipment and services for classrooms and labs.
