Each story that is written about career and technical education (CTE) increases knowledge and support with local government, school officials and the community. The first step in improving publicity for one's program is to build a relationship with local reporters covering education. In this article, the author discusses how important it is to increase the knowledge and support for CTE in local communities by reaching out to and cultivating relationships with the press.
