Combined Policies and Ideologies in an American International School
Ramalho, Elizabeth Murakami
Journal of Cases in Educational Leadership, v10 n3-4 p1-9 2007
Immersed in host countries around the globe, American international schools serve about a quarter of a million Americans. These schools can often be perceived as representatives of U.S. schools in the international setting. This study has a twofold purpose: to introduce students to the philosophy, policies, and practices of American schools overseas and to provide ethical considerations in the diffusion and implementation of policies that influence teaching and learning practices.
