Burgess, Geoffrey; Alden, Peg
Learning Disabilities: A Multidisciplinary Journal, v14 n4 p273-278 2007
This article describes one professor's attempt to use an evolving series of course websites to improve learning outcomes and foster participation with a group of college students with learning disabilities. Spurred by an initial "failure," the authors share the process of coming to better understand the conditions needed in order for students with learning disabilities to benefit fully from online class resources. Guidelines and pedagogical considerations for both preparing and utilizing course websites for this population of college students are offered.
