Norris, Daniel T.
Business Communication Quarterly, v70 n4 p492-498 2007
Salespeople increasingly have the opportunity to use technology to more quickly communicate with a larger number of clients and customers. Mobile technology, in particular, gives salespeople many advantages in rapidly reaching a large customer base. Furthermore, customers are increasingly employing mobile technology, making them increasingly accessible by online messages. But how do salespeople adapt their techniques to take advantage of these burgeoning technologies? How can salespeople maintain a personal touch in a mobile world? This article provides an overview of developing mobile technology and its impact on sales communications. It also describes how the use of these developing technologies can enhance communication with clients and customers while retaining the personal touch that sets great salespeople apart.
