Enhancing the International Business Curriculum through Partnership with the United States Department of Commerce: The "E" Award Internship Program
Mello, Jeffrey A.
Journal of Management Education, v30 n5 p690-699 2006
Management education has been subjected to scrutiny and criticism over its lack of relevance to the "real world" of management practice. International business is a field of study where internships can be extremely beneficial in helping students understand the complexities of actual management practice. This article describes an innovative internship program in international business that has provided benefits to students, their sponsoring organizations and their academic institution.
