Through Another's Eyes: The Magnitude of Our Good Fortune and Responsibility
Stewart, Mary Grace
Gifted Child Today, v25 n2 p55-56 Spr 2002
In this article, the author states that teachers should look more carefully at their students and treat them as if they may someday become the future leaders of their nation and the world. Teachers need to seriously consider the magnitude of their good fortune and responsibility as teachers of those who will one day guard their nation's safety, grow their food supply, and save their planet. Teachers should consider very carefully what they teach and how they teach it. In addition to teaching the required basic skills, teachers must set standards that will bring the world health, wisdom, and peace. Teachers must educate and treat each of their students as if they may someday give their life to help make theirs safe, and as if they will be the leaders of their nation.
