Media Literacy Starts Young: An Integrated Curriculum Approach

Because electronic media are a pervasive force in children's lives, children should be taught how to limit use and be critical consumers. Hesse and Lane use three children's books to teach prekindergarten children both literacy and media literacy skills. They summarize each book, define curriculum goals, and describe the activities and discussions with children.
