In an interview, Dr. Deborah W. Proctor, eCurriculum Director for Academic Innovations/ Minnesota Online and Co-Chair for the MERLOT International Conference, outlines her academic path that led to her current position and interests. As e-Curriculum Director for Academic Innovations in the Office of the Chancellor she works with system stakeholders to: (1) provide leadership in online technology, delivery, and related programming; (2) promote program opportunities and quality online courses in the system; (3) communicate opportunities to expand online programming and the array of academic services that are provided by Minnesota Online; (4) facilitate collaboration and community building within the system for Minnesota Online; (5) research and build knowledge base of system stakeholders in regard to online learning and technologies; (6) bring forward and resolve issues connected to online learning and technologies. She provides details regarding the Minnesota Online Digital Exchange (MODE) project as well as Sharable Content Objective Reference Model (SCORM) and Multimedia Education Resources for Learning an Online Teaching (MERLOT).
